Charter Township of Flushing to hold Community Development Hearing
The Charter Township of Flushing will hold a Community Development Public Needs Hearing on November 9, 2023 at 7 p.m. at 6524 N. Seymour Rd Flushing, MI 48433.
The purpose of the hearing is to offer an opportunity for citizens to express their ideas on community needs and project proposals concerning the use of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2025-2027 Program Years.
The Charter Township of Flushing expects to receive approximately $94,851 of 2025-2027 CDBG funds. The funds are provided by the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission Community Development Program from an annual entitlement grant received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
The funds are intended primarily for projects in low – and moderate – income neighborhoods.
